UBS Year ahead 2022

Background: UBS annually hosts the Year Ahead event, focusing on investment and wealth management trends. Faced with pandemic disruptions and less tech-savvy clients, MOI partnered with UBS to create an interactive virtual event that mimicked a live show experience. This year's agenda featured insights from UBS CIOs and industry experts on key themes such as the transition to a green economy, digital assets, and China’s new strategy.

Challenge: With restrictions on physical gatherings due to COVID-19, UBS needed to deliver a virtual event that could engage and motivate high-profile, traditional investors unfamiliar with digital platforms.

Strategy: Targeting Southeast Asia’s potential and existing wealth management clients, MOI aimed to elevate the virtual experience to match an in-person event. The goal was to position UBS as the go-to for key financial insights in 2022.

Execution: The event featured 12 live-streamed sessions using advanced 3D augmented reality technology, including an interactive NFT exhibition. Over 3,000 global attendees participated, with select clients attending in-person at UBS offices.

Results

The event bolstered UBS's reputation as a thought leader, generating significant engagement and leads.

We conceptualized the event theme and key visual, captivating audiences with a teaser video and building anticipation with an opening countdown video.
